Why BOSCO?

Please describe how your participation will further BOSCO's mission to educate the public to the artists' process.

Artist Statement:

An artist statement is a short series of sentences that describe what you make and why you make it. It serves as a stand-in for you, the artist, talking to someone about your work in a way that adds to their experience of viewing that work. Please provide a thoughtful and concise statement that helps us understand your artistic vision and motivations.

Artist Resumé or Bio:

Please upload an up-to-date resumé or bio. Since jurying is blind, only include your initials, not your full name. Length must not exceed two pages.

Upload examples of your work.

BOSCO uses an independent outside juror. Items a juror may consider in evaluating work:

  • Evidence of technical skill and control in the use of media
  • Creative use of formal design elements (pattern, color, rhythm, texture, line, light and dark, etc.)
  • Overall unity in the work, consistency of purpose and technique; Individuality of expression, uniqueness

Choose pieces that truly represent your artistic vision and skill. Remember, the images you upload will be the first impression visitors have of your work. Select only your strongest pieces—those that you believe best capture your unique style and creativity. Ensure your images are high-resolution and accurately represent your work. Poor image quality can diminish the impact of your art, so please avoid blurry, pixelated, or poorly lit photos.

  • Images must be JPG, PNG or WEBP formats (3MB or smaller)
  • Each image should include a Title, Medium, and Size.
  • Ensure that images are at least 1500px at their longest side
